The role

We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Real Estate Solicitor or Associate (NQ – 4 years PQE) to join our growing Commercial Property team. Based from Plymouth with a blend of home and office working available to you, this is an excellent opportunity to work directly with Alasdair Hall and other members of the wider team on a variety of commercial property matters, with a focus on asset management. . 

The team deal with a wide range of commercial property matters but have a strong focus on landlord and tenant work for retail clients. The team work with a number of national retailers and other large regional clients providing support with their acquisition and estate management strategies.

You will be involved in all aspects of asset management, from advising our clients on acquiring, managing and disposing of real estate to helping them plan for the future and working with them to provide innovative solutions supplemented through the use of technology. You will work collaboratively with our planning, construction and property disputes teams.

We will provide you with the support to develop your skills and confidence to reflect your level of qualification, enabling you to manage your own caseload with supervision and taking responsibility for a range of tasks. You will be encouraged to develop strong and lasting professional relationships with key decision makers within clients, and gain the insights and expertise needed to offer hands on, practical advice to them on an ongoing basis.


What we're looking for

With recent experience across a range of commercial property transactions, you will be seeking to expand your skills and knowledge whilst benefiting from the support of your supervisor and wider team. You'll be personally motivated to continue developing your skills with clients, seeking to understand the commercial context of their business and gaining confidence in order to provide relevant advice at the right moment.

You will possess strong communication skills, have excellent attention to detail and be able to organise yourself effectively to meet deadlines as needed. An appreciation of the “bigger picture” for your clients to provide sound commercial advice is important.

You may be a newly or recently qualified Solicitor looking for the next step in your career, or an Associate seeking to work with a wider variety of high quality clients with more exposure to complex work in order to broaden your skills.
