Foot Anstey Croquet Tournament
We were delighted to hold our inaugural croquet tournament this September.
On 9 September 2021 our Private Wealth team in Southampton hosted our inaugural Croquet Tournament at Test Valley Croquet Club in Romsey, which was well attended by referrers in the region.
68 people attended the afternoon to test their croquet skills in a Covid-19 safe environment. Some of our Southampton team and members of Test Valley Croquet Club were on hand to support everyone who was in attendance. Test Valley Croquet Club demonstrated how to play the game and umpired the event.
As well as standard scoring, attendees could score bonus points for best shot, flair and teamwork. All guests were treated to an afternoon of sandwiches and cakes.
Congratulations to the winning team from Brewin Dolphin. They were awarded the winning trophy and prizes by The High Sherriff of Hampshire who was in attendance. The teams at the competition included members from NFU, Charles Stanley, Carter Jonas, Metro Bank, BCM, RSM, Francis Clark, Investec and Saffery Champness.
When asked about the event Leigh Atkinson, Local Director at Southampton Metro Bank said: "Thank you very much for organising such a fabulous event yesterday. It was really well run, and the ‘professional’ players were brilliant, making it a very enjoyable afternoon. We do really appreciate the fact that it takes a lot of hard work to make everything appear so smooth on the day."
Rachel Brooks, Partner and organiser of the event commented: "Thank you to everyone for coming to the croquet competition! The rain did not dampen any spirits and the event was a success. At Foot Anstey we like to involve stakeholders in external events and local initiatives that support communities that are based near our office locations. It was fantastic to be at a physical event again and see people face-to-face!"
