THE ROUTE TO SETTING UP A CONSORTIUM

At Foot Anstey, we have tailored a range of services designed to support GPs through the legal aspects of moving towards a consortium. These have grown out of our early involvement in the field, working with a number of GPs on pathfinder projects.

Aside from ensuring that all due processes have been adhered to so that a consortium structure moving forward is fit for purpose, we offer regular updates, via email and seminars, to keep GPs informed of changing aspects of the law and key considerations. We have found that the chance to share experiences and ideas with peers adds great value to our clients when in the transition phase.

Alongside our seminars and updates, we have developed a free information pack for GPs, which lays out simply the key areas for consideration and helps focus priorities.

EXPERTISE

Pooling the expertise of our Healthcare team allows us to support our clients through a smooth transition.

Key areas of focus when setting up a consortium include: advising on structures, considering aspects of management and day-to-day running, employment and TUPE issues, existing obligations to PCTs and Data Protection and Intellectual Property.
