90 North Real Estate Partners LLP 

Foot Anstey's Islamic finance specialists have completed the second of two major real estate transactions for London-based independent property advisory firm 90 North Real Estate Partners LLP (90 North). The latest transaction sees the Shari'ah compliant real estate advisors 90 North complete a £46,000,000 acquisition of Parham Road Student Village (The Village) in Canterbury on behalf of Gulf investors.

Ashwoods, the UK’s leading supplier of Hybrid Commercial Vehicles

Ashwoods and the GP Bullhound fastest growing Cleantech company in Europe 2010 geared up for further expansion by attracting private investment. Foot Anstey advised on the deal that brings significant funds into the company – enabling Ashwoods to grow and develop more products and grow the company which already provides fuel and carbon saving technology to more than 35 companies, including Royal Mail and BT.

Celeste Copper Corporation

Foot Anstey advised Celeste Copper Corporation on the UK elements of its significant investment into the South Crofty Mine based at Pool, near Redruth. The investment is the first pursuant to an earn-in agreement under which Celeste may acquire up to a 100% interest in Cornish Minerals Limited, which indirectly owns the property and assets known as the South Crofty Mine. Celeste has acquired an 18% interest in the development of South Crofty mine, and Norman Brewster, president and CEO of Celeste, will take a seat on the Cornish Minerals’ board. Celeste has plans to continue exploration and development activities at South Crofty Mine with an objective to take the project into production.

Timothy James Consulting (TJC)

Foot Anstey completed the sale and management buy-out of Bristol based recruitment consultancy Timothy James Consulting (TJC) to Hamilton Bradshaw – former Dragon's Den star James Caan's private equity group. 

Foot Anstey corporate partner Tracy Fennell led the team which advised Peter Bennett on the sale of his stake in the business to Hamilton Bradshaw. 

Silvergate Media

Foot Anstey advised on the acquisition by Lord Alli and his new international group, Silvergate Media, of the rights to The World of Beatrix Potter and the Octonauts. These were the first assets to be sold by the media rights business Chorion following the decision by its senior bankers to break up the business, under a competitive process with an accelerated timescale.
