Share Options
Many companies use employee share or option plans to motivate, incentivise, recruit and retain employees. There are a variety of plans available and the type put in place will depend on what the company and its shareholders want to achieve.
Sarah Anderson, a member of the tax team, specialises in providing advice on the design and implementation of share option plans and other equity incentives arrangements.
Sarah has worked in the field of share plans for around ten years. She has advised a variety of companies on the design and implementation of all types of tax efficient plans including Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI), Company Share Option Plan (CSOP), Sharesave/Save As You Earn (SAYE) and Share Incentive Plan (SIP), as well as unapproved arrangements including Long Term Incentive Plans (LTIPs), bespoke unapproved share option arrangements and cash/share/option hybrids.
Sarah’s experience is also invaluable when advising individuals on their position in relation to share option awards, for example, in a situation where an individual’s employment is ending and they need advice on their position in relation to outstanding options or share awards.
