Education
At Foot Anstey we have a dedicated education team spread throughout the south west region from Cornwall to Somerset. We also have lawyers with expertise that is of direct relevance to issues affecting the education sector. Education is a dynamic exciting and constantly changing area of law. The ability to keep abreast of the changes is challenging and that is where we can assist. Please see our contact sheet below for a precis of the experience we can bring to your organisation.
Most importantly, Foot Anstey is actively involved in the education sector. We currently have over 10 trustees and elected governors in secondary schools, colleges of further education, primary schools, and specialised colleges. We offer a structured programme of work experience for students of 16 years, 18 years and university undergraduates.
We are involved with the Careers Academy, a registered charity whose aim is to lead and support a national movement of employees working to raise the aspirations of 16-19 year olds. We have been actively involved with the Citizenship Foundation which is an independent education and participation charity in the UK. We have contributed to their ‘Young Citizens Passport publication, specifically the chapters on ‘education’ and ‘leisure’. Foot Anstey’s trainees feature in a three part careers advice programme, available to schools for their careers reference resource. Solicitors at all levels have been active in schools and colleges working with students on interviewing techniques, careers advice and legal surgeries. We actively welcome the participation of schools within our firm through our School Arts Projects.
