History and Key Dates

1 February 2000:  Merger of Foot & Bowden in Plymouth and Anstey Sargent & Probert in Exeter to form Foot Anstey. Foot & Bowden was established in 1908 and the origins of Anstey Sargent & Probert date back to the 18th century.

1 May 2005:  Taunton based Alms & Young joined the practice through merger giving Foot Anstey its first office in Somerset

3 October 2005:  Exeter office relocates to new offices at Senate Court, Southernhay Gardens

17 March 2006:  Relocate Taunton offices 

1 March 2007:  New Taunton office opened at The Quad, Blackbrook Business Park

1 October 2007:  Plymouth firm Serpell Eaton became part of Foot Anstey

1 December 2007:  Truro based Hancock Caffin joined Foot Anstey to provide the firm with its first office in Cornwall for almost a century

Spring 2009:  Foot Anstey Plymouth office relocated to Salt Quay House at Sutton Harbour
